Welcome to essellar

So, what’s this about?

At the moment, this is little more than a design excercise. If you have gotten here by any means other than a “please review” link, you have gotten to the party a little early. I expect that this will be a site worth visiting sometime in the very near future, but there isn’t much in the way of content here—yet. The navigation structure should give you some idea of the content to come. I may not have a name outside of the Lotus Notes and Domino community yet, but I have learned a trick of two along the way, and have some pretty hard-set ideas of how code should be written, how the web should work, and why usability and accessibility are more important that most developes think they are.

Have a look around for now. There’s not much here but index pages, an about page and a single essay. There is much more to be uploaded over the coming days. Feedback, for now, will be restricted to the x10Hosting forum and the community members there. Apart from the code and graphics tutorials areas, this site will never be completely interactive. It was never intended to be so.

essellar?

The name comes from my initials. I would have simply stuck with my actual name, but I happen to share that name with an icon of Canadian culture. No matter how capable I am, no matter how much luck I have in this life, there will likely never come a time when a search for me under my name will bring you directly to me. To put it into perspective, imagine trying to become famous using the name “Bob Dylan”.
